Meet Tamarack. Tamarack came to us with a partially completed Foundation Kit already installed in a crew cab van. The setup already included extra factory seating and a front headliner shelf, but needed a thoughtful layout to really make it fully functional for adventures. Our goal with this van was to maximise storage, functionality and durability while integrating a lot of the gear already in the van.

Inside the van we installed our RANGE bed system to create a versatile sleeping area and really maximise space inside the van with sideways sleeping. We designed a custom slide out kitchen unit for the passenger side door. Built with a Corian countertop, storage and base on a heavy-duty pull-out slide, this design allows the client to cook comfortably outside. On the drivers side there is additional storage housing a Nova Kool fridge under the seats and a Goal Zero power system housed in the under-bed unit with plenty of additional storage for gear.

Tamarack was outfitted with off-grid travel in mind. There’s a Hot Tap Propane Shower in the back of the van for efficient, on-demand hot water without draining the battery system. In the spare tire there’s a fresh water tank to maximise water storage. An ARB compressor is neatly integrated into the back unit for inflating tires and gear on the go. And we fitted a custom enclosure for an under the van heater to port directly into the cabin for warmth. For adventures on the road we added our own custom width bike tray, giving the client a secure and convenient way to bring bikes along while keeping the interior clutter-free and the rear garage organised for other gear.

To finish the exterior of this van we installed a Flatline Van Co. ladder and tire carrier and custom mounted a small propane tank to the ladder with a quick connector- perfect for occasional use on the road.

Tamarack is a great example of a build that balanced the gear a client already had with custom solutions for storage, power and comfort. With smart use of space and a focus on functionality this van is now fully equipped for travel, camping and off grid adventures.
