Take a look inside our latest van conversion…

The latest van to drive out of our workshop doors is this beautiful 2024 AWD Ford Transit 148. With impressive off road capabilities and a functional, stylish interior, we’re excited to see all the adventures this van goes on.

One of the first things you’ll spot on the exterior is the 2-inch stage 4 van compass topo lift we installed, and Falken Wild Peak at4 tires, to enhance the vans capabilities and performance while on rugged terrain. The van has also been decked out with a roof rack from Curious Campervans, accompanied by a 300 watt solar panel system. A Starlink Mini satellite setup ensures reliable internet connectivity anywhere you roam. For those late nights pulling up to camp, a Rigid brand exterior floodlight and scene light provide ample illumination for any late-night adventures. To keep the air flowing, a Dometic Max Air Fan Deluxe has been installed, allowing for optimal ventilation and comfort while enjoying the great outdoors.

We’ve added several new windows to enhance the overall functionality and comfort of the van; there’s AM auto bunk windows, as well as an AM auto slider window in the side door and behind the driver’s seat.

One of the exterior features we’re most excited to share a sneak peak of is our own innovative product that will be available for purchase very soon. These side steps are crafted from high-quality aluminium and are powder coated with a sandtex finish to ensure optimal grip. They are designed for easy installation and provide a convenient step into your van, all while adding a distinctive look that enhances your vehicle's aesthetics and offers body protection by preventing scrapes and dings during off-roading adventures. These side steps/nerf bars are designed to be lightweight yet incredibly strong and feature a low profile. Our team recognized the need for a simple, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing side step that avoided an overly aggressive appearance. Unlike traditional side steps that drop down and reduce ground clearance, we aimed to create a product that allows for maximum clearance without compromising on style or function. Proudly made in Canada, specifically in Pemberton, this product represents great value for anyone seeking to upgrade their van. And we’ll be sharing a lot more about them soon!

Stepping in to the van (through the bug screen from Overnight Van Supplies), you’ll notice a sleek and clean kitchen, with plenty of storage, a single induction stove and a sink from TecVan. Our pantry makes an appearance (our favourite way to maximise the storage space), with all the kitchen drawers on undermount drawer slides with RV lab latches. And completing the kitchen is a large Novacool R4500 fridge/freezer.

We installed a practical flip-top bench seat that cleverly houses a convenient Cuddy composting toilet. There’s a versatile Lagun mount table, with a high-power USB-C charging point located discreetly under the table, perfect for keeping laptops powered. Three of our Habitat upper cabinets maximize space and functionality. Beside the Range bed are Sirocco fans and reading lights, all thoughtfully integrated with USB charging options for added convenience. There is also ample over-cab storage to keep your essentials neatly organized. Completing the design is a full set of custom window covers, made possible through our partnership with Overnight Van Supply, along with a durable bug screen installed at the back for added comfort during summer nights.

The bed area includes some key components from our Foundation build system. Featuring innovative backlighting that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, and complemented by thoughtfully designed nooks allowing the owners to sleep sideways with a comfortable queen sized bed, even in the absence of flares. The nook backlighting incorporates a touch-sensitive ultrasonic sensor, which is cleverly hidden behind the surfaces, ensuring a clean aesthetic without visible switches throughout the van, enhancing the overall design for accent lighting.

Next, we move on to power. This van utilizes an EcoFlow 5KWh Independence Kit. You'll find 12V and 120V outlets conveniently placed in all the locations where you would need them for easy accessibility. Additionally, it features alternator charging. This van has an Espar Gasoline heater system, which is conveniently connected to the main fuel tank located underneath the front passenger seat for efficient fuel usage and reliable heating.

The van comes equipped with a 30-gallon fresh water tank that includes a level indicator, alongside an 11-gallon gray water tank. For hot water, there's a 10-liter hot water tank, which supports a rear shower setup and connects to the Tec Van nano sink, which we’ve completed with a matching cover to complement the countertop. The van also has a pressurized sprayer system, which includes a pressurized Aquor hose bib for filling the water tank. This system can be reversed with the flip of a switch, allowing it to also function as an effective sprayer.

The power and water systems we’ve housed in our signature electrical and water cabinets. These systems we’ve designed to maintain the most storage space possible while ensuring a super compact installation of both water and electrical systems. Constructed from high-strength, water-resistant Baltic birch, these cabinets are finished in a durable Formica layer that enhances their aesthetic appeal and longevity.
