We’re so excited to bring all the technical details and full specs together for our latest van conversion. Have a read on to find out exactly what goes in to one of our adventure vans…

Meet Nootka (now affectionately known as Stella by her new owners), a beautiful AWD high roof Ford Transit, converted to be both luxurious and off road ready, with a host of features inside.

On the exterior one of the first things you’ll notice are the Van Speed flares, colour matched to match the van itself. These flares give extra space inside, and when coupled with our RANGE bed system and cozy bed nooks, make it comfortable to sleep sideways. The van also features a Flat Line Van Co roof rack and ladder combo for easy access to the vans exterior; it’s already being used for the new owner’s paddle boards. Powering the van is an Ecoflow Power Kit, featuring unto 30 amp Shore power charging, 1Kw Alternator charging as well as solar.

The van features a large garage with our enclosed water and electrical cabinets keeping things organised. We wanted to ensure this van had all the power needed for life on the road, so included a 5Kwh Ecoflow Independence Kit which gives ample power and placed power outlets in easy to use locations throughout the van. The Ecoflow systems supports the Espar Gas heater, Dometic 110u fridge freezer, as well as an assortment of high output outlets both 12 and 120v. The D pillars of this van also feature our new 120 and 12v outlet brackets, for quick exterior access to power. And with a 10 litre hydronic and electric water tank, 12v pump and accumulator, as well as 30 Gallon fresh water storage with level, there is enough water for cooking, washing up and showering from the rear mounted shower system. For Interior heat we included a 2Kw Espar gasoline furnace.

The van's shell, which encompasses the walls, floor, and ceiling, is constructed using our own Habitat Foundation Package. This comprehensive package includes essential features such as sound deadening and insulation, as well as the sturdy shell of the van itself.

To enhance ventilation and airflow within the living space, we installed a Maxxair Fan Deluxe along with Am Auto Bunk Windows and Am Auto Driver and Passenger Slider Windows.

The bed is our signature Habitat Range Bed System. Installed at a height to allow space for mountain bikes underneath (an essential when adventuring in BC). This system allows for height adjustment in the future, the additional of a kids bunk and the ability to mount accessories from the cross rails underneath the bed.

In the kitchen, we incorporated our Habitat Baltic Birch Kitchen Units, which are complemented by durable Formica finishes and elegant Corian solid surface countertops. Additionally, there is a Single Burner Induction Cooktop for efficient cooking, a Dometic 110u fridge freezer and a space saving Tec Van Sink (with a bamboo cover to allow for easy food prep). We placed it to be convenient to wash off outside the van too.

The custom sized Sliding Tray provides versatile options for transporting bikes or can be used for extra storage in the van garage. And our new Upper Cabinets are designed to hold ample clothing and personal items, ensuring that you have everything you need for your adventures.
